Prepare Your Tax Season Reports in January Not April

Don't wait until April to pull your numbers together. Run your annual reports in January while the previous year's data is complete and fresh. PrecisionOps reporting and analytics can generate revenue summaries, expense breakdowns, job counts by type, and labor reports -- all the data your accountant will ask for.

If you sync with QuickBooks, most of your financial data is already organized. But January is when you reconcile everything, make sure all invoices from the previous year are accounted for, and identify any discrepancies between your job records and your books. Catching a mismatch in January is annoying. Catching it during an audit is expensive.

Pull fleet management reports too -- fuel costs, mileage, and vehicle maintenance expenses are all deductible, and PrecisionOps tracks them throughout the year. Hand your accountant clean data in January instead of a shoebox of receipts in April.
